Why coaching? Why CrossFit?

CrossFit is the medium through which I am able to build relationships, instill self-esteem, and enhance fitness so that people can lead more active, balanced lives. CrossFit is more than a training methodology; it’s a lifestyle. The community and camaraderie that is cultivated in the affiliates is simply unbelievable. Individuals from all walks of life unite in pursuit of a common goal: to get better every day. Success is relative to the individual and may not always be apparent, but compassion, empathy, kindness, and support are recognized by everyone, and are universal in the affiliates.

Since discovering CrossFit in 2012, I have had an undeniable passion for the program as a training methodology and sport. I quickly realized CrossFit was the most efficient and effective means by which to improve health and fitness, enhance functionality, and increase longevity. As Coach Glassman stated, “Excellence is obvious to everyone. It’s just that easy.” Following the completion of my CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course in 2013, I have had experiences at several facilities including: Reebok CrossFit ONE, Reebok CrossFit St. Thomas, Arsenal Strength, and the University of Pittsburgh. The Lord has enabled me to reach people and change lives through human movement. It is His blessing and the continued pursuit of excellence, that will provide the means necessary to continue building relationships, instilling self-esteem, and enhancing fitness so that people can lead more active, balanced lives. I am honored to be a part of the amazing community that is CrossFit.

Jason was introduced to CrossFit by a friend 5 years ago after suffering a knee injury in soccer and hasn’t looked back. CrossFit has shown him how beneficial functional movement is to our daily lives. After seeing how it changed his own lifestyle, he wanted to give back and began coaching. CrossFit has given him the ability to compete once again, provided undeniable results, a great community, and also the opportunity to help others.
